How to set up two-factor authentication (2FA)

Feb 06, 2026

Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of protection to your account and can also simplify confirmations for withdrawals and password changes. Instead of waiting for text messages, you’ll receive verification codes from an authenticator app such as Google Authenticator — it works even if your phone is offline. This guide explains how to enable 2FA on your account.

⚠️ Important: Password reset (when you’ve forgotten your password) cannot be completed using a 2FA app and is only available via your registered email.

Step-by-Step Instruction

Step 1. Open Security Settings

Go to the Profile page and click Security.

Step 2. Select Authenticator App

Click Authenticator app to begin the setup process.

Step 3. Connect Your Account

In the modal window, find the QR code and scan it using your authenticator app.

If you can’t scan the QR code, you can copy the 32-character key and paste it into your app manually.

Step 4. Confirm Setup

Complete the process in your authenticator app. Copy the 6-digit verification code generated by the app, paste it into the field on Ellyx, and submit the form to finish setup.

Step 5. Verify Activation

If you see a green dot next to the Authenticator app button, your 2FA has been successfully activated.

Congratulations — your account is now protected with two-factor authentication!

Next Steps

We recommend using a 2FA authenticator app that supports cloud backups and can be installed on multiple devices, so you don’t lose access to Ellyx if one of them is lost or stolen.

If you lose access to your 2FA app, you can restore access to your account via your registered email.
