How to sell crypto
Oct 31, 2024
You can sell cryptocurrency on the platform in two ways:
- Create a Sell offer with your own price and conditions.
- Use an existing Buy offer created by another user and trade under their conditions.
This guide covers the second option — selling cryptocurrency by selecting an existing offer.
If you want to create a Sell offer, open the article “How to post a trading offer” for instructions.
Step-by-Step Instruction
Step 1. Open the Exchange Page
Go to the Exchange section and select the “Sell” tab to view available offers.
Step 2. Select an Offer
By default, the page displays the most recent offers. To see the full list, click “See all.”
On the full offers page, you can use filters to narrow down results by amount, currency, and one or several payment methods.
Browse the list of offers and choose one that matches your requirements.
Click “Sell” to view details and begin the transaction.
Step 3. Enter the Amount
Specify the amount of cryptocurrency you wish to sell or the payment amount you want to receive.
The fields are linked — entering a value in one automatically updates the other.
⚠️ Pay attention to the buyer’s minimum and maximum limits set for this offer.
Step 4. Choose a Payment Method
Select your preferred payment method from the list.
Only the methods accepted by the buyer will be shown.
If none are suitable, close this offer and choose another one that matches your preferred payment method.
Step 5. Lock the Transaction
Click “Sell” to proceed. From this moment:
- The cryptocurrency amount will be temporarily frozen in your wallet.
- It will only be released to the buyer once you confirm that you have received payment.
- A countdown timer will show the time left for the buyer to make the payment.
Step 6. Manage Active Offers
If you close the offer and want to return to it, go to the Wallet page and find it in the “Action required” section of your offers list.
Step 7. Confirm Payment and Complete the Transaction
When the buyer transfers the funds, confirm receipt within the time shown in the offer details.
If the timer expires and you have not received payment (even if the buyer marked it as sent), open a dispute through the system.
Be ready to provide proof that the funds were not received.
⚠️ Important: Never confirm receipt of payment until you have actually received it in your account.
Once crypto is released to the buyer, it cannot be reversed.
Step 8. Finish the Transaction
After confirming payment, the cryptocurrency will be released to the buyer.
🎉 Congratulations — you’ve successfully sold cryptocurrency!
